Maintenance Description:

Microsoft will be implementing a new security feature within Microsoft 365 Exchange Online called, High-risk delivery pools. While the goal is to provide a more secure Microsoft 365 experience, unfortunately this new feature will likely impact Power365 Email Rewrite Services which your company is currently using.

What are we doing about it?

Our team of developers have been working tirelessly with Microsoft support and product teams to design a solution for long-term Email Rewrite Services. Through our efforts both Microsoft and Binary Tree must implement software updates together to fully support the new security requirements.

How will this impact my ERS users?

In order to ensure that mail flow is not misdirected during these deployments, there will be a brief outage of the ERS service. It is important to note that during this outage message delivery may be delayed, but no mail will be lost or rejected. When Microsoft 365 attempts to transfer messages to ERS services during the outage it will store the messages and retry until the service is restored.

When will the implementation occur?

The first of two deployments to your region is scheduled to take place Monday, January 11, 2021 9:00 PM UTC – 9:30 PM UTC. The outage is expected to last no longer than 30 minutes.

What do I need to do?

You do not need to take any action. This message is notification of the upcoming scheduled deployment by Binary Tree and the brief interruption to mail flow during the implementation.

If you have any questions or issues, please contact Binary Tree support.

We apologize for the inconvenience this issue may have caused and look forward to assisting you in the future.
